Located on the first floor of the Kensington High Street store, the new beauty department at Marks & Spencer will be the template for future in-store beauty areas.

Marks & Spencer revealed its new beauty department this morning in the Kensington High Street branch.

At 1,150 square ft, the space is on the store’s first floor and features wood clad midfloor and perimeter equipment with extensive use of brand message lightboxes. There is also a touchscreen where shoppers can order further rbeauty products, should they not be in stock.

As well as in-house beauty products, there are 20 branded ranges including Luxe, H2O ad Sud Pacifiique. Many of the lines are exclusive to M&S and the retailer willl be the sole supplier for the UK.

“Nature and science from across the world”, has been adopted as the strapline for the new area. The next store to receive the treatment will be the Westfield Stratford branch which, at 2,700 sq ft will be more than double the size of this pilot. It will open on June 14.
