Asda customer director senior executive Jon Wragg has left the supermarket after eight years with the retailer.

Wragg was multichannel director until December when he was moved into the newly-created role of customer director senior executive role following a restructure of the business late last year.

Retail Week understands that Wragg left the company in order to return to an ecommerce or multichannel role. Asda plans to replace Wragg.

It is not known if Wragg left with a job to go to.

Wragg had been multichannel director for more than two years and was seen as influential in boosting Asda’s multichannel credentials. During his eight years with the retailer he held roles such as global sourcing and development director at George and commercial director at Asda.

Before joining Asda, Wragg clocked up more than 20 years at Littlewoods, starting as a store manager in 1984 and climbing up to new business development director of Shop Direct twelve years later.
