Borders stores to close today
Borders’ 45 stores will close today as no buyer has yet been found for the book chain.
A spokesman for administrator MCR said talks were still ongoing with potential buyers for all or part of the chain, and these would continue after the stores close at the end of today. A bid from Books Etc founder Richard Joseph for some of the stores has been rejected.
Also in the books market this week, Christian book chain Wesley Owen has fallen into administration. 14 of its 40 stores have been rescued by competitors.

So the administrators would rather reject a bid than save some of those businesses and jobs and have something towards paying creditors?
Incompetent springs to mind!
Unsuitable or offensive?
