The H&M home store will make its debut in Selfridges’ Trafford Centre branch next Thursday.

H&M will occupy about 650 sq ft in Selfridges, the Manchester Evening News reported, and will sell products such as glassware, cushion covers, decorations and bed linen.

H&M country manager for the UK Carlos Duarte said: “We always strive to create inspiring shopping destinations and reach new customers and believe that Selfridges is the perfect location to launch our first H&M home concession store globally.

“The store will offer specially selected H&M home products, offering our most exclusive concepts.”

The home category is becoming increasingly competitive as specialist retailers such as Dunelm grow and attempt to take share from traditional market leaders such as John Lewis.
