New Heights enters administration
New Haven Associates – trading as New Heights – today appointed Baker Tilly as administrator. As revealed exclusively by Retail-Week.com yesterday, New Heights shut all its shops last Friday, fuelling speculation that the chain was about to go into administration.
New Heights is the latest casualty in a long list of retailers to collapse into administration this year. Retailers such as Sleep Depot, The Works, Dolcis and Ethel Austin have all hit the wall in the past few months.
Also in the furniture sector, retailers such as Land of Leather and ScS have issued profit warnings recently.

Very disappointing, and annoying. Only a few days ago they contacted me to take a final payment prior to delivery on 12th May.
The delivery company, Pacemaker, refused to deliver because they said they were not going to get paid for doing so.
Frustration continued as no one answered or returned calls, and thay haven't had the courtesy to put a message on their phone-line informing customers of the position.
