1.  Access to retail-week.com

Q.  I subscribe to Retail Week magazine, and activated my subscription on the old website.  How do I log in now?

If you already activated your online access on the old retail-week.com, you will now need to sign in with the email address you originally activated with (not your username), and the password you set up at that time.  Please note that your email address does not need to be case sensitive, but your password needs to be entered exactly as you did when you set up your account.

Once logged in, you need to update all of your details, so that we have the most up to date information for you.  If you can't remember your password, please use the forgotten password tool on the log in page – simply enter your email address (this will have to be the one you originally activated your online access with), and we will send it to you.

If you can't remember this email address, please email our Customer Services team, and they will help you.  The email address is customer.services@emap.com.

Each time you revisit the site, you will need to confirm that it is you by clicking "Sign In" next to your name on the top of the page (you won't need to enter your details again).  This is an extra security measure, to ensure no one else uses your account.

In order to sign up for our email newsletters, you must first register on retail-week.com.  If you have not yet registered, you can select which alerts you sign up for during the registration process, or click here to register now.

If you have already registered, you simply need to go to Your Profile page, and you can select any newsletters you are interested in.

Q. How do I set up my tailored job alerts?

If you are not registered with retail-week.com, you can create your jobs profile in the registration process.  Click here to register now.  If you have already registered, you simply need to go to Your Profile page, and you can set up your job profile there.

Q. I signed up for Retail Week email newsletters, but have not received any – why is this?

There could be a few reasons for this.  Firstly, you should check that the email address you provided is correct and working.  Another possibility is that your mail server is blocking our emails, as it sees them as spam.  To check this, either look at your privacy settings on your computer, or speak to your IT department to add Retail Week to your safe list.

You should also check your junk mail folders, to see if the emails have gone there, and if so, should identify these newsletters as safe.

Q. I signed up for job alerts, but I haven't had any – why is this?

This could also be due to any other reasons above, but could be down to your job alert preferences. If you have been very specific in your choices, you might find at times that you are getting fewer/no job alerts, as the type of job you have asked for is less common.  If you broaden your choices, you should see the number of jobs increase.

4. Unsubscribing

Q. How do I unsubscribe from receiving email news and job alerts?

This can be done in Your Profile – as well as updating your details, you can opt in and out of email newsletters and job alerts. Alternatively, when you receive an email you wish to unsubscribe from, simply click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom.
