Tesco starts online Sale early
Tesco launched its online Sale yesterday, as other retailers also gear up to start their Sales before Christmas on the web.
Tesco launched offers on a range of furniture, homewares and sports products yesterday and will add electrical items at 8pm on Christmas Eve. Sainsbury’s has also launched its furniture sale online.
Retailers including Halfords, Comet, B&Q and John Lewis are among those launching their online Sales on Christmas Eve. With VAT going back up to 17.5% on January 1, shoppers are expected to pull forward big-ticket purchases which might otherwise have been made in January.
