High street sales fell in line with expectations in April as consumers continued to rein in spending, according to the CBI Distributive Trades Survey.
Retail sales stabilise in February, according to the CBI
Retailers experienced little change in sales volume year-on-year with 34% of retailers surveyed in February’s CBI Distributive Trades Survey reporting an increase, while 36% reporting a decline.
