M&S AGM highlights

Posted by:

14 July, 2010

Today’s M&S AGM was the usual entertaining - and quintessentially English - affair. We had the usual rants from the shareholders about product quality, plastic spoons in the cafes and the store in Weston Super Mare.

The army of private investors - those who speak up at least - seems to range from the mildly eccentric to the barmy. I particularly enjoyed the part where Sir Stuart Rose - whose father was an emigre - was accused of being a Russian spy.

I won’t go through it all on here but the best way to catch up with the highlights is on my Twitter feed or our live coverage page.
